In Primary One we started Pancake Tuesday by learning all about the meaning behind the day and why it is celebrated. The children discovered that it marks the day before Lent begins, a time when people traditionally used up ingredients like eggs, milk and flour before fasting. We also explored how Pancake Tuesday is celebrated around the UK.
Finally, we had the chance to decorate our own pancakes with delicious toppings before tucking in and enjoying them! 🎉
