Autumn Time
Our new topic has been keeping us very busy and has allowed us to get outside lots to investigate objects that can be found in this new season. Last week we learned all about the book 'Leaf Man' going on a leaf hunt, sorting leaves into their relevant colours, making our very own leaf men and making lots of patterns. This week we have been reading the Big Book, 'Owl Babies' and have been learning about what owls eat, how they live in a nest and how they hatch out of an egg whenever they are babies called Owlets. In the playroom we have been making coloured patterns using a carrot (instead of a sponge), making Halloween soup and investigating Pumpkins. We have worked very hard in our finger gym to eventually cut these pumpkins open to investigate what can be found inside!!
