Day 3 Shannagh-More
After a record 7 uninterrupted hours of sleep, we awoke bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. Once we had breakfast we got suited up and headed to Pigeon Rock to do some scrambling (not a motorbike in sight). This entailed climbing the side of a steep hill through some very large boulders which made natural cave-like gaps. A little like a cat uses its whiskers to check if it can fit through an opening, we sent in Mrs McNeill first, confident in the knowledge that is she could do it, then so could we!
We even met a friendly goat on the side of the hill that seemed to know how to speak Jak's language.
After a lovely chicken curry lunch, we went mountain climbing and abseiling. Now, this WAS a mountain! It was very daunting but most managed to make it to the top and everyone had a go. Even Miss Childs abseiled down the cliff face and for safety purposes the instructors fitted Miss Childs with a beeping device as she was reversing!
Tonight after fish and chips, we spent time in the games room and made use of the table tennis and table football games.
Tonight's supper will be hot chocolate, marshmallows and buns! Hard to believe it is our last night...Zipline and high ropes tomorrow before we head back in the afternoon.
