P6 enjoyed another outdoor maths day in our local forest.
We noticed lots of changes from our Autumn walk, with almost all the trees stripped of their leaves.
After pairing up, we started proceedings with our 'estimation approximation game' as we were given various lengths and tasked with finding items in the forest that matched each length.
Then we moved on to our STEM activity of building enclosures in natural surroundings for small animals that may be seeking shelter in the Winter months.
Finally, we went to our coordinates field and used our map reading skills to locate our fire pit. Those who were successful, enjoyed the fruits of their labour.
A great day had by all!
