Today Primary 3 were scientists! π¨π»βπ¬π©πΌβπ¬
We have been learning about an owlβs diet - they eat small birds, mice, rats, voles and shrews! π¦
Owls donβt have teeth, so they swallow their food whole! Whatever their body canβt use (like bones, fur and feathers) is packed into an owl pellet and coughed up! π
We dissected an owl pellet to work out what our owl had eaten! We used our bone comparison sheet to match the bones to the animal. It was lots of fun! π
