Drumlin Wind visits P6💨
15th Jan 2024
P6 had a fantastic day with George from Drumlin Wind Energy Co-operative! 💨
Pupils learnt how wind turbines provide renewable energy by converting wind into electricity ⚡️
We then had a go at making our own wind turbines out of junk materials. We had to use tools such as a hacksaw and a glue gun! We then had to make a circuit using a battery and a motor to make our propeller turn. We also had to build a stable structure to support our motor and propeller.
Everyone did a fantastic job and we really enjoyed our workshop! 💨
Thanks to Drumlin Wind for including us; and Northern Ireland Forest School Association for partnering us up 🌳
