P6 completed an investigation this week which had them testing prototypes of re-entry capsules for NASA! 🚀 Pupils had to design and build a capsule which could safely transport astronauts back to earth from the ISS. They then collected data on how effective their capsules were, by measuring the effect of dropping from different heights, and how that impacted the time it took for it to hit the ground! They presented the data in a line graph, choosing an appropriate scale for our results, as well as identifying titles for the X and Y axis. Finally, P6 used the Numbers app on the iPad to digitally present their findings, compare results with another group, and draw conclusions from their results! 🛰️🧑🚀
