Since Christmas we have been developing our ability to work in groups and use our times in groups to help us with problem solving. Our Big Book for this week is The Three Billy Goats Gruff so after meeting a real troll..(SCARY) we decided we should build some bridges that were strong and stable enough to support a Billy Goat. We worked in groups using different building materials to build a bridge over our mini 'rivers' and then we counted as a class backwards from 10 to make sure that our bridges were strong enough to support a Billy Goat for at least 10 seconds. Look how good a job we did!
In the playroom this week we are also completing lots of different problem solving and bridge building activities in lots of different areas. We have some engineers in our P1 class!!
