Exploring Trees 🌳
21st Mar 2024
Today in Forest School, Primary 3 were exploring the trees in the school garden! First, we led our partner (with their eyes shut!) to one of the trees for them to feel the bark and main features. When we returned to our starting point, they had to guess which tree they had felt!
Then we learnt that we could measure how tall a tree is by walking away and looking at it through our legs! 👀 When you are far enough away to see the top of the tree though your legs, the distance from you to the bottom of the tree is how tall it is! We were able to use metre sticks to measure this distance. 🤩
