Measuring the Weather 🌧️📏 💧
This week in Forest School, Primary 3 were learning all about how we measure the weather.
To measure the rainfall, we made our own rain gauges; using recycled plastic bottles! We used the top of the bottle to create a funnel, then added a measurement scale on the side using a ruler to mark out the centimetres! 📏
Then we placed our rain gauges on the school garden - we kept them away from the trees, as we decided they might block some of the rain.
When we went out to take our first readings, we discovered that we had 1cm of rain yesterday! ☔️
