Primary 3 have been learning all about the weather!
Last week for homework, we created our own rain gauges to measure the rainfall in our gardens!
This week, we have created rain gauges in class so we can measure how much rain falls in the school garden, and compare it to how much rain falls at our homes. 🔎
We had a discussion about why these numbers might be different, and decided it could be a number of reasons:
- the wind could blow the rain gauge over.
- one rain gauge might be sheltered by a tree or a roof.
- there might have been slightly more rain in one area.
We are looking forwards to continuing to measure the rain over the next couple of weeks! 📏
