As part of our School Development Plan for Numeracy, all year groups have been working on 'strategies' to help when Problem-Solving.
Every week the whole school focus on a particular strategy - Guess and Check, Draw a Picture, Make an Organised List, Make a Table, Look for a Pattern and Simplify.
This ensures progression through each year group and provides each child with the 'tools' to be creative when solving problems.
I have included some photographs from each year group as examples.
Please feel free to ask each teacher to show you individual examples the next time you are in class!
