P6 travelled to St Nicholas this week to continue our learning topic on 'Bridges'.
This week we were Planning Engineers. In groups, we had to consider the positives and negatives of locating a bridge in a particular place. We focused on social, environmental and economic issues related to such decisions.
Once each group had decided the best location, they had to present their findings to the rest of the 'Engineers' for a debate.
Some of this discussion got quite heated, but in the end, after compromise from all parties, we agreed on a suitable location.
P6 from both schools might be able to teach our politicians a thing or two about the art of negotiation...
