P7 were tasked with locating different coloured pins at numbered locations on a map today.
Although we are familiar with the area and have completed map reading and compass work there before, we hadn't done it as part of orienteering.
Today was about using the map to track the route, locate the pin and record it on our sheet.
In the upcoming weeks, we will do similar activities but 'try to beat the clock' as you would in an orienteering activity.
We also had some time to enjoy the outdoor fitness area and build some swings!!!
