P7 visit to Sentry Hill...
5th Nov 2024
As part of our topic on The Victorians, P7 visited Sentry Hill in Newtownabbey to experience a Victorian Farm and way of life during this period.
We had the opportunity to see lots of artefacts and see how Victorians lived.
In particular, we looked at the history of the people who lived there, including a 12 year old girl named Hannah, who was responsible for cleaning out the bed pans for the tidy sum of 10p a MONTH. Unsurprisingly, we had no takers for the current position!!!!
