Primary 3 have been learning all about plants! Today, we had a look at plants we can eat. We have been learning about the parts of the plant: Root, stem, leaves, flower, sends and fruit.
Today we looked at different fruits and vegetables, and matched them to the parts of the plant that it is that we are eating! 🌱
We were able to identify that: 🥕 Carrots and potatoes - roots 🌱 Celery and asparagus - stem 🥬 Spinach and lettuce - leaves 🥦 Broccoli and cauliflower - flower 🍎 Apple and orange - fruit 🫛 Peas and nuts - seeds
We tried all the different fruits and vegetables, and then sorted them into a table about which part of the plant they are! 🤩
