Building on our earlier buoyancy lesson, we looked at designing and making a shape that could carry load (weight).
Then, having discovered that rivets used on The Titanic may have been a factor in the ship sinking (cheaper Iron rivets replaced steel rivets) we did an experiment using different types of pasta to determine how the make up of materials can make something stronger or weaker.
In between, we found time to paint our clay models of The Titanic.
