The Estate Cup
19th Jun 2024
The now annual event took place this afternoon in glorious weather.
Unfortunately, the boys were unable to retain the Cup this year and after a slow start, were eventually, comprehensively beaten. The Cup will now take up residence this year in new surroundings for the first time!!!!!
The girls however, enjoyed success in a closely fought contest and although the game was played last year, a trophy was presented for the first time. Well done girls!
Both matches were played in great spirits and the manners from both sets of players when receiving their BBQ at the end, should be commended. They did our respective schools proud.
A big thank you to the parents who took the time to come out and cheer the children on and a special mention to Mr Phil Lewis for refereeing. However, I mustn't have paid him the going rate this year as his choice of shirt (colour) made his intentions clear from the start :-) :-) :-)
