Since starting back this week after our Easter holidays we have been very busy in P1 starting our new topic 'The Farm.' This week we have learning all about The Little Red Hen who worked very hard to plant crops to make bread. We have started to think about different farm equipment, different animals we might see on the farm and started to investigate different vegetables that grow on the farm.
We have already discovered that working on a farm is very hard work and so in our Play room we have been tried some of these jobs for ourselves like; scrubbing potatoes, making loaves of bread, redecorating and painting the outside of the 'farm house' and growing and selling vegetables in the Farm Shop.
