The j sound
In Primary One learning phonics is extremely important as they act like a building block to help us to read and write. Working from September to December we work really hard to learn one a week and since Christmas we have started learning two sounds a week. We like to learn our sounds in lots of different ways, we always practise the formation of the new letter and then have some fun using taskboard and practical tasks. Last week we were learning the j sound and of course that meant that our practical task had to be MAKING JELLY! DELISH! Have a look at all of the FAB P1s working really hard at home with their new sound and having some fun completing an instructional writing task to make some jelly in the own kitchen.
