The Milkman and The Fireman
The past two weeks have been very busy in P1 where we have been learning all about what it was like to be a milkman now and in the olden days as well as what it's like to be a fireman.
When learning all about the milkman we learnt about what important ingredients we can find inside milk and discovered calcium. We practised brushing some teeth to make sure we know how to keep our own really strong and then we even got to make our very own strawberry and chocolate milkshake - YUMMY!! We voted on which milkshake was our favourite and wrote a set of instructions so that we would remember exactly how to do it ourselves next time.
Last week we learnt all about the fireman and 5 REAL firemen came to visit us with their Fire Engine. We got to shoot from their big and powerful hose as well as climbing inside their fire engine and even getting to try on parts of their uniform. Some of us have loved dressing up as the fireman in the playroom too!
