Trip to Crumlin Road Gaol - Shared Education
16th May 2018
P7s now know what it feels like to be incarcerated like a Victorian. They visited Crumlin Road Gaol with St Nicholas' and the Model Schools.
They saw a ghostly figure in the tunnel leading to the courthouse - woo hoo! They saw how small, cold and stark the cells were. They experienced the feeling of being in the padded cell and they did some Victorian exercise in the yard. They saw the flogging rack and they were able to have a 'hands on' go at the punishments.
All in all, it was a worthwhile and enjoyable experience. With a few ghost stories thrown in!
