P4 learnt all about static electricity today by using some wool, salt and pepper. First, we held the plastic spoon over the salt and pepper, nothing happened. Then we rubbed the plastic spoon on wool, when we held it over the salt and pepper, the pepper jumped up and stuck to the spoon! 🥄
We learnt this was because the wool gave the spoon a negative charge, attracting the positively charged pepper. 🤩
